Bravehearts 5th Annual Dylan Connelly Memorial Ride & Family Day
Come and join the Bravehearts on a bike ride and family day in scenic Harvard, MA while supporting a great cause. This event provides enjoyment for riders of all ages and abilities with your choice of a 50-mile, 25-mile, and 2-mile children’s route. The proceeds from the event go to the National Brain Tumor Society, committed to improving the lives of all those affected by brain tumors, and Camp Sunshine, dedicated to inspiring hope in families affected by life-threatening childhood diseases.
This event offers an opportunity for members of the community to join together and celebrate the power of friends, family, and community; stewardship for the environment; a love of outdoor adventure; a reverence for nature; and a desire to help people and their families facing health care crises. In 2016 over 350 people attended the event including riders of all ages, their families, and a host of cheering friends. This year, we hope you will join us as well.
|National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding better treatments, and ultimately a cure, for people living with a brain tumor today and anyone who will be diagnosed tomorrow. This means effecting change in the system at all levels.||Camp Sunshine provides respite, support, joy, and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families from around the world through the various stages of their journeys. The year-round program is free of charge to all families, and includes 24-hour onsite medical and psychosocial support. About Team Braveheart:
Team Braveheart is a community-based, all-volunteer organization established in honor of Dylan Connelly after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor shortly after his 30th birthday. Prior to his diagnosis, Dylan founded a commercial solar energy business helping lead central Massachusetts toward a sustainable energy future. An avid cyclist and outdoor enthusiast, Dylan was known for his extreme physical and mental toughness, making him truly worthy of the name “Braveheart.” He passed away in 2013, but his spirit continues to shine within the community and the loving family and friends that he left behind. Visit TeamBravehearts.com for more information.
We hope you will be able to join us, either in person or in spirit through a donation to the event or in support of a rider or team. Thank you for helping us all make a difference together!
