JIMBO's Birthday Bash for Brain Cancer

About the Event
In loving memory of Jim McAllister (aka JIMBO), we are throwing him a birthday party and donating all the proceeds to the National Brain Tumor Society.
For over two years, Jim battled Glioblastoma (GBM), the most aggressive form of brain cancer. Less than 25% of people survive it out of their first year. The statistics are depressing, yet Jim was determined to LIVE and STAY POSITIVE no matter what.
Jim’s Live Big, Love Big motto carried him and us, through our journey with brain cancer. Now, these simple yet powerful words motivate us to make brain cancer a priority for desperately needed funding and research.
Jim's birthday is on November 10th. He would be 63 years old, and this year is our third birthday without him to love on and spoil. Despite our broken hearts, we will never stop celebrating Jim and all that he meant to us...all the things he loved....and all the love he shared.
Come Celebrate with Us and Give to NBTS
Jimbo's Birthday Bash for Brain Cancer is a celebration of three things Jim loved: hanging out with family and friends, sipping on a cold beer and listening to music. Jim enjoyed visiting breweries and sampling craft beers of all types. He even made and bottled his own beer at one time. His playlist included a wide range of songs and genres as he loved all types of music. We would often celebrate his birthday at a brewery. StillFire Brewing was the brewery where we held Jim's 60th birthday, his last birthday with us on earth. We celebrated with a group of our closest friends and had a fun time. We are continuing the brewery birthday tradition forward and with it, we hope to inspire positivity while we prioritize brain cancer, together.
What's On Tap for the Day?
Come out and enjoy great beer, food trucks, raffles, college football, and Flannel Nation a 90's rock tribute band starting at 8PM.
Be the first to enjoy the first pour of the 2025 The Backwards Hat. It's a "Baseball Life Edition," brewed and canned specifically for this event in Jim's honor. It's a delicious, easy-to-drink American Amber Lager that will be on tap all day and sold in 4-packs to take home.
PLEASE DONATE We need every dollar we can raise for brain cancer, given the gut-wrenching federal budget cuts made earlier this year. Glioblastoma was one of four cancers taken to zero funding in early 2025. This is unacceptable and must be changed. The National Brain Tumor Society is the only brain tumor organization that has an active public policy agenda and directly advocates to give patients with a brain tumor a voice in Washington, D.C.
Come thirsty. Leave inspired. And together, let's strikeout brain cancer!
