2017 On Your Mark 9
Mark Eldridge was diagnosed with an Astrocytoma in the fall of 2008 after he had a seizure. He went through radiation, chemotherapy, and two brain surgeries to remove two tumors. After his second surgery, he was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma. Mark passed away on January 22, 2011 at the age of 50 after a courageous 2 year, 4 month battle with cancer. Mark's battle with cancer is over, and as difficult a struggle as it was, in the end cancer didn't win. Cancer may have claimed his body but, to have victory, this dreadful disease would have had to change Mark. Mark remained the same positive fun loving guy he had always been. To the very core of his soul he remained steadfast to what defined him as a man.
In the fall of 2009 we held our first annual "On Your MARK Walk" at Nickerson State Park in Brewster, MA. We are grateful to our many supporters as we continue in our mission to raise awareness of brain tumors and cancer. Together with family and friends, through various fundraisers, we have raised a total of $21587.17 for the National Brain Tumor Society to help them in their fight against this horrible disease. Please join us this October 7th for another great event!
